1. We are amazing
“The idea of overcoming is always fascinating to me.It’s fascinating because few of us realize how much energy we have expended just to be here today.I don’t think we give ourselves enough credit for the overcoming.
#MayaAngelou
Maya Angelou, an amazing writer, poet, activist, and, above all, amazing person, has always talked and taught us about the incredible potential of the human kind. We are here, and it is my belief that we are here for a reason. Our reason is to serve a higher purpose, our “big why”.
Many of us, however, are challenged on a daily basis and this is how we lose our focus and we condition ourselves in believing that we are limited. As Maya Angelou says, we don´t give ourselves enough credit for the overcoming of all these challenges in our lives. At some point, while growing up, we develop or accept beliefs, influenced by our family, school or social environment, that create limitations in various areas of our lives, and that can become a very frustrating experience. Our old patterns of thinking, and subsequently behaviour, condition our perception of life and the opportunities it offers for our further development and evolution. We look at the life we are having at the moment and we can´t see how it can be different, better, more fulfilling. In a word, we are “stuck”.
In hypnotherapy, we challenge those old patterns of thinking, we reframe old beliefs, rewire our brain, and install new, positive, empowering beliefs. It helps us get “unstuck” and rediscover that incredible potential we were inherently born with to create our own path to fulfilment, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
2. RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy) and traditional Hypnotherapy.
For those of you who are familiar with hypnotherapy, here goes a diagram to show you how RTT is different.
One of the most important aspects of RTT is the part of the intervention. As qualified RTT clinical hypnotherapists, we get to the heart, the root, the real cause of the issue, not merely treating the symptoms. We are “curious”, we want to discover, and we do discover, how a certain issue became part of and affected your life. First, we identify the issue, then we clear the root cause, the old-conditioning and patterns of thought, before reframing these beliefs and installing new, positive, beneficial ones.
3. Time to get serious about Hypnotherapy
According to a recent article published in The American Journal of Medicine, hypnotherapy is an effective but neglected treatment, due to misconceptions and myths developed around it over time. The article aims to dispel those myths and misconceptions and acknowledge this form of therapy based on science as valid, effective and, unfortunately, widely underused. Hypnosis research is funded by the National Centre for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), and soon it will be a wonderful complementary treatment to many medical conditions.
